Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. In cities across the country, people of all races, nationalities and religions are joining hands to truthfully acknowledge a period in our history that shaped and continues to influence our society today. In this talk participants will learn exactly what Juneteenth is, the history behind it, the overall impact, and why we are/should be recognizing it throughout the year, let alone Black History Month, or in June.

Gentle Reset: Emerging From the Pandemic

Many of us have been off our best-life routines in different ways with an “I’ll do this when ___” mentality. As we begin to emerge from pandemic life perhaps “When” is Now. This workshop employs self-compassion as a tool to get ourselves together while accepting that it’s totally okay to not have it all together. The session includes reflection on what we need and want moving forward along with skill-building to facilitate authentic, empowered, and realistic change. Whether committing to a workout routine, scheduling a massage, cooking more often, or ordering out to give ourselves a break, we’ll discuss how to utilize this new beginning to activate the patterns we want and need most.
